So .... I apologize for not updated this sooner.... I ran into some trouble with my computer and the darn conevrter fried my charger :( sad day. so i ran around Madrid literally saw every corner of the city and visited every computer specialty store that I could access through the subway system. It was indeed an adventure but the fruits of my labor were limited. I found a universal computer charger that would have set me back 80 euros....AKA wayyyyyyy more USD. So i had to pass on having technology at my fingertips. The trip was absolutley amazing! I could not have asked for a better experience. It was so great that I am inspired to re learn spanish and return next year with Cesar and Jennifer and hopefully my best friend Camille (who is also a PR major). I will be updated a day by day "journal/scrapbook" of our time in Spain within the coming days. I hope you will get as much joy from reading about my adventures as I have gotten from having them. Hola! From beautiful Madrid

Well today started so early, as i am feeling the effects of jet lag. After enjoying a small breakfast at the hotel we were able to spend a few hours with Antonia Nunez ( a story telling expect and highly respected Public Relations Author). I was so tired that i felt my eyes literally closing from my sleepyness. I had researched antonio prior to coming to Spain and was very very interested in what he had to say. Needless to say I was dissapointed with how my body was behaving. After the lecture we all had a few horus of free time and let me just say that those four hours felt like milliseconds when it comes to how tired i was.... I slept the whole four hours plus a little on the metro (oops) to a downtown Pr Firm. LLorente and Cuenca. This firm is extremely reputable and successful and it felt like such an honor to be welcomed into the firm with open arms. We were able to gather in a conference room with Arturo Pineda ( a firm partner and socio director). He shared with us the difference between a firm and a consultancy and of their credentials as a company. He was also gracious enough to give us a tour of the building after we heard from financial (PR) team members. After the fantastic tour we were able to squeeze onto a cramped metro and made it to the Futbol Stadium for the Real Madrid. Christiano Ronaldo... the most exensive and talented soccer player in the world was signed to the team and presented officially to the fans in Madrid! That stadium makes any event i have ever been too.. seem like a kindergarden musical with practically no one in the audience. 80,000 bodies in one stadium just to catch a glance at the gorgeous man ... FUEGO! ill be writing more about him later but as you can imagine trying to catch a bus or metro while 80,000 other people are trying to do the same is nearly impossible. SOOOOOOOOOOO we made the long trek all the way back to our hotel ( On an empty Stomach I might add) and around 11pm we finally made it to dinner at the most amazing place ever! ( name to follow) Well its off to bed and ll write more tommorrow!

I finally Made it To Espana!

After a grueling trek across the globe I am finally in Spain and must I say its so beautiful. Our Hotel "Hotel Regina" is Quaint but classy and across from some of the most beautiful architectural masterpieces I have ever seen! I'll write more later! gots to run for a walking tour of Madrid! Post some pictures soon! Miss you all!

Preparing for the Delights of International Travel

Hello Readers!
Well, today is Thursday July 2nd which means I leave in less than 48 hours for my grand adventure in Spain! This is my first experience traveling overseas and my mother's first experience of her baby leaving the nest for a much larger and further away nest (Sorry mom had to do it) Needless to say, she is a little bit freaking out but she'll be fine lol. Its crazy to think all of the prepartions are almost over... as a group, we have waiting months and months for this and now its here! I can't even wrap my mind around it! I must admit i procrastinated a little too much and havent finished packing... IM HORRIBLE AT PACKING. I either pack way to much or make an effort to pack light and pack way too little. I should probably hop on the whole packing train but first I wanted to bring ya'll up to date on the travel situation. My flight leaves early saturday morning and arrives in Altlanta then on to Madrid three hours later. The flights combined times are about 14 hours ...bleh.... :( So keep myself and Tj in your prayers as we make the trek into international adventurers and explorers :) ...
